BRETT AYTON
Founder & Managing Director

Born in Kenya and educated in the UK, Brett has more than 28 years of experience in construction. He developed his practical understanding of the industry through apprenticeships and hands-on roles in Tiling, plastering, natural stonework and general building, before progressing into the management of building teams and complex renovation projects. This experience gave him an invaluable understanding of traditional craftsmanship and the practical processes fundamental to delivering high-quality construction.

Brett returned to East Africa and established ATA in Kenya in 2006. Since then, he has guided the company’s continued growth, successfully delivering property developments and high-end private residences across the country.

As Managing Director, Brett is the client’s main point of contact and personally steers each project through the entire design-and-build process—from the initial concept to final handover. He leads and coordinates the designers, architects, engineers, MEP consultants and construction teams, ensuring they work together with one clear direction.

His holistic approach keeps design ambition, buildability, budget, programme and quality aligned at every stage. Combining extensive practical knowledge with a keen eye for detail, Brett provides clients with clarity, continuity and direct leadership throughout their project.

NICO PINTO DA MOTA & AMINA FORAMITTI
Lead Architects

Nicolás Pinto da Mota and Amina Foramitti are ATA’s lead designers, responsible for shaping the architectural vision of our design-and-build projects and guiding each design from the initial concept through to detailed development.

Together, originally Pinto da Mota–Foramitti, an architectural studio established in Buenos Aires in 2006. The practice has been featured in Argentine and international publications and was selected to represent Argentina at the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale. Both partners have also contributed to and presented at leading academic conferences and universities across Argentina.

Amina relocated to Nairobi in 2014, expanding the studio’s work into East Africa. The practice currently has projects under development in Kenya and Uganda, with previous international experience in Uruguay, Thailand and Australia.

Working closely with Brett and ATA’s wider consultant and construction teams, Nico and Amina develop thoughtful, site-responsive designs that balance architectural ambition with buildability, budget and the practical demands of construction.

HENRY M. KIBATHI

Project Architect – Kenya

Henry is ATA’s Project Architect in Kenya, working closely with Brett, Nico and Amina to translate the design vision into detailed architectural drawings and documentation suitable for local approval and construction.

As a registered architect in Kenya, Henry coordinates drawing revisions, statutory submissions and approvals, ensuring that each project complies with relevant Kenyan planning and building requirements. He provides an important link between the design team and the local construction process, helping guide each project smoothly from concept and design development through approvals and into construction.
